Nina Samperi is all about working your specific hair journey. She’s a big believer in air drying and dry cutting, taking her time to carve shape into your hair so it moves with you—not just on the day of your appointment, but long after. She comes to us having done hair on both coasts. Seattle, where she trained, and Boston, where she continued her growth, and now has settled here in Portland.  She’s been doing hair for seven years, and her experience shows in everything from her thoughtful consultations to her easy ability to balance a riveting conversation about pop culture with creating a polished blowout. Curls and waves are her specialty, and she loves shaping styles with personality—shags, mullets, bixies, pixies—and playing with the balance of softness and edge, masculine and feminine. Her color work ranges from sun-kissed, hand-painted blondes to vibrant, high-impact bleach-and-tones. Whether you want a subtle shift or a full-blown transformation, she’s all in.

Nina is also deeply committed to sustainability in the beauty industry and aligns her practices with that care—minimizing waste, supporting clean color lines, and making choices that are healthier for both her clients and the planet. After graduating cosmetology school, she completed three apprenticeships focused on cutting, balayage, and major color corrections. She continues to seek out advanced education every year to keep her skills sharp and her creativity flowing.

Outside the salon, Nina is usually reading something (anything), catching a movie, or watching basketball. Summers mean beach days, winters mean binging documentaries.
